Just based on the coaches' choices for their advisors, Season 11 of The Voice might be their best one yet!
Rock royalty will be in the building when new coach Miley Cyrus' advisor walks in. Cyrus chose a woman she calls an "inspiration" and "what Superwoman really should be". She enlisted the help of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Joan Jett.
Us Weekly reports a source close to Levine revealed that he "loves inviting rockers he admires. He's a big fan of classic rock".
Alicia Keys, also a new coach this season, is calling on the help on Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Charlie Puth who is most well-known for his emotional ballad featured in the blockbuster hit Furious 7, "See You Again".
As country fans, we are usually on Team Blake and his advisors are usually predictable (ex. his then-wife Miranda Lambert, country group Little Big Town, his current girlfriend Gwen Stefani, etc.), but this time around we were pretty surprised by his choice.
On Monday (July 25), Shelton revealed he is currently filming the battle rehearsals "with one of [his] heroes!!"
This got us to thinking because he has rarely called anyone his hero besides Randy Travis, Trace Adkins, and the Oak Ridge Boys. We figured it would be one of those country legends, but nope!
He is working with the legendary singer, songwriter, actress, and comedian Bette Midler!
Does this make you excited for the upcoming season of The Voice?
