Country legend George Strait invited Martina McBride to join him on stage for an entertaining cover of Johnny Cash and June Carter's classic duet "Jackson."

"I told y'all I had some surprises for ya" announces George to the crowd. "Martina!" he says as the country star crosses the stage.

"Well we got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout," the duo sings together. "We've been talkin' bout Jackson, ever since the fire went out."

George and Martina's cover maintains the heavily classic country tone of the original.

"Jackson" is about a married couple and the desire of each partner to travel to the city of Jackson. There has been much speculation over which Jackson the song is actually about, however there is a widely accepted consensus it's actually about Jackson, Tennessee.

"Jackson" was originally recorded by Billy Edd Wheeler in 1963 but was popularized by the adaptation released by Johnny and June in 1967 which reached No.2 on Billboard Country Singles chart. Cash's version of the song has transcended through time after regaining popularity once it was featured in the widely popular 2011 film, The Help.
